Hyaluronic acid
Serums, Toners & Creams
Hyaluronic acid is perhaps the most misunderstood super ingredient in skincare. It is not an exfoliating acid; it is a moisture-hungry molecular network that can bind up to a thousand times its weight in water. The skin produces it naturally, but production gradually decreases with aging and environmental stress. The right product with the right molecular size can make a difference from day one, and it is one of those ingredients that all skin types can benefit from without exception. At SKNLÛX, you will find a wide range of serums, toners, and creams from leading K-beauty brands.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan that fills the space between collagen fibers in the dermis and binds water molecules with exceptional efficiency. The substance occurs in three main molecular weight classes with distinct mechanisms of action. High molecular weight variants form a moisture-retaining layer on the skin surface and significantly reduce transepidermal water loss, while low molecular weight variants penetrate deeper skin layers for intense hydration. Hydrolyzed fragments with very low molecular weight can reach even deeper, stimulating the skin's own repair processes and connective tissue synthesis. Modern formulations often combine all three variants for a full-spectrum effect in a single application. The ingredient is chemically neutral, hypoallergenic, and tolerated by virtually all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin. In Korean skincare, it is one of the most common active ingredients in the layering routine and is best applied to slightly damp skin for maximum moisture absorption, barrier support, and an increased feeling of skin plumpness.
